Common Snipe Breeding Distribution

Habitat

Breeds in sedge bogs, fens, willow and alder swamps, and marshy edges of ponds, rivers, and brooks. Avoids marshes with tall, dense vegetation (cattails, reeds) (Tuck 1972).
